1. Who we are

Ritual Gem (الدرة الطقسية) is operated by Ritual Gem, a non-profit organization in Pennsylvania, United States. The app is a reading library of the 47-volume Coptic Orthodox encyclopedia by Fr. Athanasius al-Makary, with its English translation. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have. Contact: admin@ritualgem.org.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and a password you choose. We cannot read your password. Your account also receives an identification number.
• Subscription information: whether you have an active subscription, and your purchase history for this app. Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We never receive your card or payment details.
• Use of the app: the books and sections you request, and the words you search for, so that we can show them to you. Our systems also record technical information such as IP address, device and app version, and time of request, for security and to keep the service running.
• Messages you send us: your email address and what you write.
• Stored only on your device: your reading position, text and font choices, your recent searches, and, only if you turn it on, a saved sign-in for biometric sign-in. We never receive or see your face or fingerprint data; your phone handles it.

3. What we do not do

We do not show advertising. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell your information.

4. How we use information

To create and run your account; to give you the Arabic text with a free account and to unlock the English text and English audio when your subscription is active; to keep the service secure and working; and to answer your messages.

5. Who receives information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app (for account sign-in, subscription management, and hosting), and with Apple or Google for payments, and only as needed for those services. These providers act on our behalf, except Apple and Google, which handle payments under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. Some providers are located in the United States or other countries, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

6. Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your account information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: open the menu, then My Account, then Delete Account. You can also ask us to delete it at admin@ritualgem.org. We delete your account and the information linked to it within 30 days of your request, except purchase records, which we keep for accounting, fraud prevention and legal reasons. Records that Apple or Google keep are kept under their own rules. Security logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections and reasonable safeguards. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

In the app you can delete your account and turn off biometric sign-in. To ask for a copy of your information or to correct it, write to admin@ritualgem.org. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, such as the right to object or to complain to your data protection authority. We will respect them. Where the law requires a legal basis, we process your information to provide the service you asked for (your account and subscription), for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, and to meet legal duties.

9. California residents

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined in California law. You may ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it, at admin@ritualgem.org, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.

10. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app.

٢. المعلومات التي نجمعها

• معلومات الحساب: عنوان بريدك الإلكتروني وكلمة مرور تختارها. لا نستطيع قراءة كلمة المرور. ويُمنح حسابك رقم تعريف.
• معلومات الاشتراك: ما إذا كان اشتراكك فعّالًا، وسجل مشترياتك لهذا التطبيق. تتولى Apple أو Google عملية الدفع، ولا نتلقى أبدًا بيانات بطاقتك أو أي بيانات دفع.
• استخدام التطبيق: الكتب والأقسام التي تطلبها، والكلمات التي تبحث عنها، لنعرضها لك. وتسجّل أنظمتنا أيضًا معلومات تقنية مثل عنوان IP والجهاز وإصدار التطبيق ووقت الطلب، لأغراض الأمان وتشغيل الخدمة.
• الرسائل التي ترسلها إلينا: عنوان بريدك الإلكتروني وما تكتبه.
• يُحفظ على جهازك فقط: موضع قراءتك، وخيارات حجم الخط ونوعه، وعمليات بحثك الأخيرة، و(فقط إذا فعّلته) تسجيل دخول محفوظ للدخول بالبصمة أو الوجه. لا نتلقى بيانات وجهك أو بصمتك ولا نراها؛ فهاتفك هو الذي يتولاها.

٣. ما لا نفعله

لا نعرض إعلانات. ولا نستخدم أدوات إعلان أو تحليل أو تتبّع. ولا نتتبعك عبر تطبيقات أو مواقع شركات أخرى. ولا نبيع معلوماتك.

٤. كيف نستخدم المعلومات

لإنشاء حسابك وتشغيله؛ ولإتاحة النص العربي بحساب مجاني، وفتح النص الإنجليزي والصوت الإنجليزي عندما يكون اشتراكك فعّالًا؛ وللحفاظ على أمان الخدمة وعملها؛ وللرد على رسائلك.

٥. من يتلقى المعلومات

لا نشارك المعلومات إلا مع مزوّدي خدمة يساعدوننا في تشغيل التطبيق (لتسجيل الدخول وإدارة الاشتراكات والاستضافة)، ومع Apple أو Google للمدفوعات، وبالقدر اللازم لهذه الخدمات فقط. يعمل هؤلاء المزوّدون نيابةً عنا، باستثناء Apple وGoogle اللتين تتولّيان المدفوعات وفق سياسة الخصوصية الخاصة بكل منهما. وقد نُفصح عن المعلومات عندما يقتضي القانون ذلك. يقع بعض المزوّدين في الولايات المتحدة أو دول أخرى، ولذلك قد تُعالَج معلوماتك خارج بلدك. وحيثما يلزم، نعتمد ضمانات مناسبة لهذا النقل.

٦. الاحتفاظ بمعلوماتك وحذفها

نحتفظ بمعلومات حسابك ما دام حسابك قائمًا. يمكنك حذف حسابك في أي وقت من التطبيق: افتح القائمة، ثم «حسابي»، ثم «حذف الحساب». ويمكنك أيضًا طلب الحذف بمراسلتنا على admin@ritualgem.org. نحذف حسابك والمعلومات المرتبطة به خلال 30 يومًا من طلبك، باستثناء سجلات الشراء التي نحتفظ بها لأغراض المحاسبة ومنع الاحتيال والالتزامات القانونية. أما السجلات التي تحتفظ بها Apple أو Google فتُحفظ وفق قواعدهما. وتُحفظ سجلات الأمان مدة قصيرة ثم تُحذف.

٧. الأمان

نستخدم اتصالات مشفّرة وإجراءات حماية معقولة. لا يوجد نظام آمن تمامًا، ولذلك لا نضمن أمانًا مطلقًا.

٨. خياراتك وحقوقك

يمكنك من التطبيق حذف حسابك وإيقاف الدخول بالبصمة أو الوجه. ولطلب نسخة من معلوماتك أو تصحيحها، راسلنا على admin@ritualgem.org. وبحسب مكان إقامتك قد تكون لك حقوق أخرى بموجب القانون المحلي، مثل حق الاعتراض أو تقديم شكوى إلى جهة حماية البيانات، وسنحترمها. وحيثما يشترط القانون أساسًا قانونيًا، فإننا نعالج معلوماتك لتقديم الخدمة التي طلبتها (حسابك واشتراكك)، ولمصلحتنا المشروعة في إبقاء الخدمة آمنة، وللوفاء بالتزامات قانونية.

٩. المقيمون في كاليفورنيا

لا نبيع معلوماتك الشخصية ولا نشاركها بالمعنى الذي يحدده قانون كاليفورنيا. يمكنك أن تسألنا عمّا نحتفظ به عنك وأن تطلب حذفه على admin@ritualgem.org، ولن نعاملك معاملة مختلفة بسبب ذلك.

١٠. الأطفال

التطبيق غير موجّه للأطفال دون الثالثة عشرة، ولا نجمع عمدًا معلومات منهم. إذا كنت تعتقد أن طفلًا قدّم لنا معلومات، فراسلنا وسنحذفها.

١١. تغييرات هذه السياسة

قد نحدّث هذه السياسة. يبيّن التاريخ في أعلاها آخر نسخة. وإذا كان التغيير مهمًّا فسنخبرك به داخل التطبيق.
